Associate Attorney – Immigration Law

Posted May 23, 2026

About the Firm

Ramos Immigration Law (Francesca Ramos, P.C.) is an established immigration firm serving clients throughout Colorado since 2006. We handle a full range of affirmative and removal immigration matters and pride ourselves on rigorous advocacy, strong client relationships, and a collegial, supportive office culture. We are growing our team and seeking a dedicated associate attorney to join us.

The Role

We are seeking an immigration attorney to manage a diverse caseload spanning both affirmative and removal matters. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Longmont office. We are open to a range of experience levels — from newly admitted attorneys to seasoned practitioners — and care most about strong judgment, work ethic, and a genuine commitment to client service. The right candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of their cases and thrives in a fast-paced practice.

Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply. We provide mentorship, regular case-strategy review, and direct supervision on substantive immigration practice. Our goal is to develop strong immigration attorneys who can independently manage complex matters within their first year on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of affirmative immigration matters (family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, waivers, humanitarian relief, and related applications).
  • Handle removal defense matters before the immigration courts, including bond, master calendar, and individual hearings.
  • Conduct client consultations and provide clear, accurate legal guidance.
  • Draft and review petitions, motions, briefs, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous time and case records in our case-management system.
  • Meet filing deadlines and manage matters independently with appropriate supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor and admission to any U.S. state bar in good standing.
  • Colorado bar admission, or eligibility and willingness to obtain admission by reciprocity or examination.
  • Strong legal writing, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet productivity expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Immigration law experience (affirmative and/or removal) — though we welcome newly admitted attorneys who demonstrate strong potential.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus but is not required; the firm uses professional interpreters as needed.
  • Familiarity with legal case-management software.

Compensation

Base salary: $70,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based production bonuses. The bonus structure allows total annual compensation to exceed the base range for strong performers.

Benefits

  • Fully employer-paid health insurance.
  • Fully employer-paid dental insurance.
  • Vision insurance plan available.
  • Simple IRA retirement plan with 3% employer match.
  • Generous paid time off, accruing with length of service.
  • Twelve (12) paid holidays per year.
  • Annual CLE stipend (may be applied toward AILA membership dues or other approved continuing-legal-education expenses).
  • Annual paid firm outing, plus a supportive, well-staffed office with paralegal and administrative support.

How to Apply

Please submit a cover letter, resume, and a short legal writing sample to framos@ramoslawyer.com with the subject line “Associate Attorney Application.”

This position accepts applications on an ongoing, rolling basis until filled.

Ramos Immigration Law is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not request salary history, and compensation is set without regard to sex or any other protected status.
