A Historic Moment for the Latino Community

The Colorado Hispanic Bar Association congratulates Chief Justice Monica Márquez, the first Latina Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court.  In another historic first, Chief Justice Márquez and Chief Judge Gilbert Román—the first Latino Chief Judge of the Colorado Court of Appeals—will serve in their respective leadership roles at the same time.  Thank you Justice Márquez and Judge Román for your dedication and service to the Colorado legal community.
