Lincoln County Courthouse Visit

Join Judge Miles A. Cabral at the Lincoln County Courthouse on Friday,March 27, for a day dedicated to learning about legal careers in rural communities. The day will include free lunch, a presentation on judicial opportunities in rural counties, a Q&A with judges and attorneys, and a tour of the jail. This opportunity will give attendees insight into the important role attorneys and judges play in rural counties and the unique professional opportunities available outside of urban areas.
The “Legal Desert” crisis means many rural counties are critically underserved, sometimes without a single attorney in the entire county. However, this shortage creates opportunities for law students and new graduates. Due to the high need and lower competition, new attorneys and student interns can gain professional opportunities that are often harder to find in urban centers.
