Biography

Licensed for 43 years, previously an employment law attorney. In 2015 as the first Visiting Scholar at the University of Denver Latinx Center/Sturm College of Law, created a national legal history project to identify and document the contributions of the country's first Latina attorneys during the period of 1880-1980, Luminarias de la Ley | Luminarias of the Law. Luminarias are the first Latinas to enter all sectors of the legal profession, from solo practitioners to the country's first Latina judges. Key research findings were published in 2023 by UCLA Law School. The Visiting Scholar is writing two books about the Luminarias.
