Last-Minute Invite: CHBA Night at Su Teatro This Thursday (TOMMOROW!)
June 18 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
We’re excited to share a last-minute opportunity for CHBA members to support the arts this Thursday at Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center!
Su Teatro is a Chicano theater in Denver dedicated to telling stories that reflect community and cultural heritage, and this event presents a great opportunity for CHBA to engage with and support that mission.
This week’s show, No Se Paga, No Se Paga, is a comedy set in a 1970s Denver barrio, following two couples struggling to make ends meet—until their wives come up with a creative (and hilarious) solution involving hidden groceries and a “pregnant” belly. While it’s a farce, the themes closely reflect challenges faced within the Latino community and resonate with the communities CHBA serves.
CHBA will be covering the cost of admission for attendees, and a soda and tamale will be included for each guest.
We will also have a small networking meet up right before the show starts in the saloon in the theatre with the Denver Scholarship Fund Organization! Come enjoy the show and make new connections!
