Elisa Overall

Biography

Elisa Overall, who also goes by “Emo,” has dedicated her career to issues of equity, social justice, and inclusion. In March of 2021 she started as the first-ever Executive Director to the Colorado Access to Justice Commission—a statewide commission to expand access to Colorado’s civil justice system. Previously Ms. Overall worked as court-appointed counsel in criminal appeals. She also lived and worked in Southwest Colorado for nearly a decade, directing nonprofit and grant work to support the region’s Immigrant Communities. Ms. Overall is a 2014 alumna of the Latino Leadership Institute, a Denver Public Schools Coach & Mentor with the Spanish Affinity cohort and has served on the board of RISE Colorado since 2015. She earned her B.A. from Stanford University and J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
