The Colorado Hispanic Bar Association’s award nominations will open on April 30, 2026! CHBA’s awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the Colorado Latino community. The award nominations will close on May 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM MT.
To make a nomination, please complete the form below. If you would like to nominate an individual for two separate awards, submit the form twice—once for each award. Self-nominations are accepted.
Award winners will be celebrated at our annual banquet on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Award Descriptions:
Chris Miranda Outstanding Hispanic Lawyer:
Presented to an outstanding Hispanic attorney in practice for more than seven years who has shown a continual commitment to the Hispanic community and the principles of the legal profession.
Judicial Excellence Award:
Presented to an outstanding member of the bench who has shown a continual commitment to the Hispanic community and the principles of the legal profession.
Outstanding New Hispanic Lawyer:
Presented to an outstanding Hispanic attorney, in practice for seven years or less, who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Hispanic community and the principles of the legal profession.
Outstanding Corporate Commitment Award:
Presented to a company that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the Hispanic community and that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in corporate policies and activities.
Organizational Community Service Award:
Presented to a governmental entity or nonprofit organization committed to providing services benefiting the Hispanic community.
Individual Community Service Award:
Presented to an individual committed to providing services benefiting the Hispanic community.
Lifetime Achievement Award:
Presented to an attorney over 55 who has made significant contributions to the Hispanic community. The recipient of this award must receive an affirmative vote from two-thirds of the quorum.
