Biography
Serving as a conflicts attorney for the firm for 17 years, I analyze and resolve conflicts related to new and existing clients, new matters, and lateral hires; I also collaborate with our team of conflicts attorneys,, recommending resolutions and assists attorneys with drafting waivers to ensure compliance and that conflicts are cleared. Prior to becoming a conflicts attorney, I worked in criminal defense, civil, and commercial litigation; this included court appearances, and motions practice, drafting discovery materials, scheduling all aspects of a litigation case, and assisting with trial preparation of exhibits. What I enjoy most about being a conflicts attorney is the ability to identify and resolve issues across many practice areas including litigation, public finance, business, real estate, and estate planning. By working closely with the attorneys, I am able to assist in resolving potential issues, and continually learn about other areas of practice and the potential for how and why conflicts may arise.
Education
University of Denver Sturm College of Law (JD '99) University of Minnesota (BA '96 - Political Science & Chicano Studies)
