Biography
Erica is an attorney and managing partner of Medina & Jimenez Law LLC which she started with her chlidhood best friend in 2025. Erica currently practices mostly criminal defense as is a proud contractor for the Alternate Defense Counsel, but also practices tenant/landlord law, family law, and probate. Erica is currently a board member of El Movimiento Sigue, and an Adelante Leadership Institute 2026 Fellow. Erica was born and raised in Pueblo. She grew up on the East Side and graduated from East High school in 2009. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado – Denver in 2012. She received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2016, and went on to become a public defender at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Boston. Erica worked as a Roxbury Defender in the Roxbury, Dorchester, and Boston Municipal Courts, representing and counseling hundreds of clients from arraignment to trial. Erica is also a former board member of the National Lawyers Guild Massachusetts, where she contributed her legal and community organizing skills to advocate for justice and fight for the rights of the most marginalized.
