Fort Lupton is a small, predominantly Hispanic community, and coming from it shapes both my perspective on access to legal services and my commitment to serving that community professionally. Neuroscience (in progress) | Colorado State University, Fort Collins Philosophy Minor · Honors Program · 69 Credits Completed · Expected Graduation: Spring 2029 Currently a junior at CSU, enrolled in one of the few public university neuroscience programs in Colorado — an interdisciplinary degree spanning ten departments, grounded in the biological sciences, and requiring completion of an original undergraduate thesis. As a member of the Honors Program, I engage with some of the university's most rigorous academic offerings, with my strongest work concentrated in formal logic, ethical theory, and philosophy of mind. My academic focus sits at the intersection of brain science and the philosophy of moral agency — questions about consciousness, decision-making, and legal responsibility that directly inform my legal ambitions. The philosophy minor deepens that foundation intentionally, not incidentally, and has produced my most consistent high-level academic performance. Paralegal Certificate Program | Rice University, Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies Completed August 2026 Completed Rice University's Paralegal Certificate Program through the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, one of the country's most respected continuing legal education institutions. The program is taught by practicing attorneys and trains students in skills transferable to any law firm in any field, delivering a comprehensive foundation across the full scope of paralegal practice — including legal analysis, legal memorandum writing, federal court structure, stages of litigation, discovery preparation and coordination, pleading preparation, deposition preparation and digesting, the arbitration process, client interviewing, law-office investigation, online legal research, and Bluebook citation. Completed online while enrolled full-time at Colorado State University, this certificate marks my formal entry into the legal profession and the foundation on which I am actively building a paralegal career in downtown Denver. M.S. in Neuroscience (planned) | Colorado State University, Fort Collins Post-Baccalaureate · Target Entry: 2029 Following completion of my undergraduate degree, I intend to pursue graduate study in neuroscience at CSU. CSU's Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Neurosciences (MCIN) program — designated one of CSU's Programs of Research and Scholarly Excellence — takes students through core graduate coursework and laboratory rotations before placing them with a faculty mentor in a degree-granting department. This stage of my education reflects a genuine commitment to scientific depth and research fluency, building on the foundation laid during my undergraduate years.
