• Negotiate and coordinate the appropriate resolution of cases after thorough and careful consideration of case strengths, weaknesses, prosecutorial capabilities and limitations, and all departmental priorities and missions • Present matters before Colorado trial courts and juries in an interactive manner, coordinated with demonstrative presentations that incorporate a variety of media, and that were supported by extensive written work-product targeted at persuading the fact finder to reach conclusions beneficial to governmental objectives • Litigate motions and trials that required familiarity and understanding of complex scientific, forensic and economic matters in the areas of DNA, blood spatter, drug and alcohol analysis, fingerprints, ballistics, shoeprints, firearm tool markings, crime scene reconstruction, forensic medicine and financial account analysis • Advise Colorado state and local law enforcement agencies during the course of criminal investigations and make decisions regarding the propriety of pursuing charges across the entire spectrum of criminal matters
