Biography
Licensed for 46 years, previously Assistant Attorney General, VP/GC Denver Grand Prix, Colorado Administrative Law Judge and partner at Garcia Hernandez Sawhney, specializing in employment and education law. First Visiting Scholar at the University of Denver Latinx Center/Sturm College of Law. In 2015, created the national legal history project Luminarias de la Ley | Luminarias of the Law to identify and document the contributions of the country's first Latina attorneys. Luminarias are the first Latina attorneys, circa 1880 to 1980, to enter all sectors of the legal profession, from solo practitioners to the country's first Latina judges and U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
