Biography
Born and raised in the four corners area, Nathaniel currently serves as the County Court Judge in Dolores County and the District Court Magistrate in the 22nd Judicial District. Nathaniel is a graduate of the University of Texas, School of Law and Northwestern University. Prior to joining the bench, Nathaniel focused his efforts on researching inequalities in our justice system and identifying ways to improve the court system. He has also worked for IAALS and practiced as a criminal defense attorney, including work for the Public Defenders Office of New Mexico and the Denver Municipal Public Defender's Office. Nathaniel is interested in learning from others, working to create a more equitable environment for all lawyers, and discussing ways we can improve our legal system, particularly for the disenfranchised.
