Biography
Originally from Manson, Washington, Cynthia Sánchez attended the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. After college, she worked as an immigration paralegal for six years in Seattle and in 2017, she relocated to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado Law School. Cynthia is licensed to practice law in Colorado. During law school, Cynthia interned with several nonprofit organizations, including the Northwest Justice Project, Earthjustice, and the Migrant Farm Worker Division of Colorado Legal Services. In addition, she externed for the Honorable Terry Fox at the Colorado Court of Appeals as a participant of the Lorenzo Márquez Diversity Program. Cynthia previously served as the co-president of the University of Colorado Latino Law Student Association and as the vice chair for the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association’s Pro Bono Committee. Cynthia is passionate about bridging the gap between disenfranchised communities and access to justice as well as creating legal empowerment for those communities. As a native Spanish speaker, Cynthia loves using her bilingual skills to advocate with and for her community.
